2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide our services — Create and manage your account, process bookings, connect customers with mechanics
  • Communication — Send booking status updates, push notifications, and service-related messages
  • Verification — Verify mechanic partner identity and approve accounts
  • Payments — Process coin purchases, maintain wallet balances, and issue refunds
  • Service improvement — Understand usage patterns and improve our App
  • Safety & security — Detect fraud, fake leads, and protect our users
  • Legal compliance — Meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Between Customers and Mechanics

When a booking is created and a mechanic picks it up:

Customers can see:

  • Mechanic's name & phone number
  • Shop name & profile photo
  • Rating and review count

Mechanics can see:

  • Customer's name & phone number
  • Full address (including GPS coordinates)
  • Bike details & problem description

This sharing is necessary to fulfill the service.

3.2 Public Information

  • Mechanic ratings and review counts are visible to customers
  • Customer names may appear on reviews they leave (when marked visible)

3.3 Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

3.5 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored on Google Firebase servers (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
  • Data is encrypted at rest by Firebase's default encryption
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Firebase using OTP

Note: While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

6.1 Access Your Data

You can view your profile information, booking history, and transaction history within the App at any time.

6.2 Update Your Data

You can update your name, email, profile photo, and addresses through the App's profile and settings screens.

6.3 Delete Your Data

You can request complete deletion of your account and associated data by:

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will:

  • Delete your account and personal data within 30 days
  • Retain only data required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., completed transaction records)
  • Anonymize any data retained for analytics

6.4 Withdraw Consent

  • You can disable push notifications from your device settings
  • You can deny location permission from your device settings
  • You can stop using the App at any time

7. Location Data

We collect your location only when you explicitly tap the "Use my location" button
We do not track your location in the background
We do not continuously monitor your location
Location data is used solely to auto-fill your service address
Your coordinates are shared with the assigned mechanic only for the purpose of reaching your service location
Location data is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service for address resolution

8. Push Notifications

  • We use push notifications to inform you about booking updates, lead availability, and important service messages
  • You can opt out of notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App
  • We store device tokens (FCM tokens) to deliver notifications; tokens are removed when you log out

9. Photos and Media

  • Profile photos and mechanic documents are stored in Firebase Storage
  • Images are compressed before upload (80% quality)
  • Mechanic identity documents (ID proof, shop photos) are used only for verification by our admin team and are not shared with customers or other users
  • You can update or remove your profile photo at any time

10. Payments

  • We do not collect or store credit card, debit card, or bank account details within the App
  • Coin purchases are processed manually via UPI or bank transfer
  • Payment confirmation is done via WhatsApp
  • We store only the transaction reference, amount, and payment mode for record-keeping

11. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

12. Third-Party Links

Our App may contain links to external services (e.g., Google Maps for navigation, WhatsApp for payment confirmation). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

  • The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised
  • For significant changes, we may notify you via push notification or in-app message
  • Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
